After anger over the intelligence pressurred Home Minister Shivraj Patil to submit his resignation. However RJD Cheif Lalu Prasad said this decision should have been taken much earlier and it is too little too late. Shivraj Patil has offered ro follow any order of CWC.

The National Security Advisor (NSA) M.K. Narayanan is not stepping down after sources reported that he was going to give his resignation. However sources close to Narayanan said that the PM asked Narayanan to continue.
