Intelligence had warned of a impending attack in October. Sources: Karkare had warned all 5 star hotels, and told them to up security, 2 days before attacks. In 2006 Intelligence had given a full report of a attack by sea, of terrorists posing as fisherman. How it appears actions against this intelligence were not taken.
The Indian Fisherman Union had already said that RDX was transporting RDX using trawlers.
Intelligence had already intercepted calls from chief of LeT operations Muzammil in Muzaffarabad, and Yahya in Bangladesh.
