According to LA Times Michael has died.

[Updated at 3:15 p.m.: Pop star Michael Jackson was pronounced dead by doctors this afternoon after arriving at a hospital in a deep coma, city and law enforcement sources told The Times.

Michael had suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We’re told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

Pop star Michael Jackson has died in hospital in California tonight, according to unconfirmed reports.

The singer was not breathing when paramedics arrived at his home and he was given cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

He was taken to the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Centre, after suffering a suspected cardiac arrest.

Jackson was due to perform 50 farewell concerts, bowing out on an illustrious music career spanning several decades which earned him a fortune.
