Iraq has ordered to leave the current and former employees of Black Water which is a private military force to protect ambassadors, journals, aid workers and diplomats. Black Water got very bad reputation in Iraq when it opened fire in Nisoor Square, a busy Baghdad intersection on a mass gathering and killed 17 people including women and children. This event raised the sentiments against U.S army in Iraq. Later on, U.S judge dismissed all charges against them and freed them without giving any notice. Iraqi government condemned this decision and said ‘injustice’ and ‘unfair’. Interior Minister Jawad al-Bolani said “It was a painful experience, and we would like to go forward.”Haider Al- Abadi, a prominent figure in Iraq’s parliament called the dismissal of charges “unfortunate and gross miscarriage of justice and victims have rights”. Black Water is of the view that it was their self-defense act. Iraq’s government also made many attempts to expel Black Water in past. Black Water is one of the largest among three private organizations which got contracts from U.S military. Black Water is U.S company founded in 1997 by Erik Prince and Al Clark. Currently it trains 40,000 peoples, a year and has received more than 1 billion U.S.D from USA. Black Water has long criminal records against civilians of Iraq and this recent event added more fuel to temperaments of the sons of Iraq. On March 31, 2004, Iraqi insurgents in Fallujah , attacked a convoy of Black Water and killed their 4 soldiers and hung their bodies on the bank of ‘Euphrates’. Recently Black Water has changed its name and now is called ‘Xe’. Xe spokeswoman, Stacy DeLukes said “Xe does not have one, single person in Iraq.” And on the other hand Iraq,s government has ordered all the private soldiers related to ‘Xe’ to leave Iraq within seven days.
