German Bank Supports Tsunami Victims In Pakistan With 500,000 €
Frankfurt am Main — The German bank has until 31 August 2010 provided for the flood victims in Pakistan more than 500,000 €. Financial assistance is the result of global donations from employees and customers of the Bank and by the Deutsche Bank and its foundations themselves Overall, the Bank recorded a high global readiness of their employees and customers to donate for the flood victims in Pakistan. Around 250,000 € of donations collected by the bank in Germany. Of which 100 000 euro for a commitment by the German Bank Foundation. Another focus of the Pakistan-help is Asia where the German bank has in the past few weeks collected 200,000 euros donations.
The funding will benefit experienced relief organizations like the International Red Cross, the organizations of the Red Crescent and UNICEF, and Care. In the crisis region also working employees of Deutsche Bank directly with local relief agencies to assist in the distribution of food and to support primary health care and construction of water filtration systems.
