It was on Thursday when Japanese Foreign Minister Katsuya Okada apologizes to South Korea foi a long “tragic incident” colonial rule over its neighboring country Korea
Korean state-run media reported regarding Okada’s apology with South Korean Minister Yu Myung-hwan during a joint news conference.
According to Yonhap news agency, Okada stressed that he believes it was a tragic incident for koreans when they were deprived of their nation and their identity.
He solemly added he can fully understand the feelings of Koreans who were deprived of their identity and nation, and he believes they must never forget the victims.
35 years of a ‘sudden death’ for Koreans and Chinese community who were forcing several women to serve as a sex slaves for Japanese invaders who were called as a “comfort women” to the militants.
Due to physical and unlawful harassment, several protests and rallies arouse against Japan’s unbeatable colonization.
Unexpectedly, once in a blue moon that a Japanese leader apologized.
In 2001, then-Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi acknowledged the “enormous damage” inflicted by Japan’s military “by colonization and invasion.”

This doesnt change the fact that the surviving comfort women continue to be uncompensated.

For me, these words are meaningless. The Japanese government is notorious for saying one thing and doing another.

No doubt the Japanese text books will continue to label these women as prostitues…
