Over 1 Billion Watch Michael Jackson Memorial

Michael Jackson’s star-studded memorial service happened on the 7th July 2009 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Only 8,750 people had tickets to the service and while police were expecting crowds of 250,000 fans eager to pay their respects to the ‘King of Pop’.
It is estimated that an astounding 1 billion people watched the service live around the world, the biggest audience for any event ever. And this number is set to more than double with millions watching the memorial service online over the next few days.
