PLEASANTON, Calif. – Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) today announced the Xerox DocuMate 3115, a new mobile duplex color scanner plus docking station developed with dual platform support for Windows and Mac operating systems. The Xerox DocuMate 3115 has a 20-page automatic document feeder (ADF) and scans at 15 ppm/30 ipm. When undocked, the scanner can function through USB or electrical outlet as a sheetfed scanner. The front feed slot accepts documents from letter/legal/A4 size to photos, receipts and plastic ID cards.

“Modern offices are no longer defined by traditional walls and desks. Documents are most often captured where the user first encounters them,” said John Capurso, vice president of marketing at Visioneer. “The DocuMate 3115 is well-equipped for use in a wide range of business applications, possessing strong qualities of both mobile and desktop scanners. It is an exceptional value, offering high-speed, ADF document flow, and a productivity software bundle to meet the ever changing needs of the mobile-minded business user.”

Intelligent Flexibility
Powered by Visioneer OneTouch technology, the scanner allows users to scan to the “destination” of their choice by pressing a single button, eliminating multiple steps usually required to save scanned documents in popular file formats. Visioneer OneTouch allows users to scan documents to their choice of six preset yet completely configurable destinations. This enables documents to be scanned with the correct settings for resolution, color, cropping, file format and then delivered to virtually any application, folder or device – all at the touch of a button. Bundled software includes Nuance PaperPort, OmniPage Pro, NewSoft Presto! BizCard, an enhanced TWAIN and WIA driver and Visioneer OneTouch with Kofax VRSTM technology. The DocuMate 3115 also supports Mac users with ExactScanTM, developed by ExactCODETM GmbH, a d, river and capture application that integrates with the OneTouch scanning buttons, plus NewSoft Presto! PageManager, a desktop document management tool.

Pricing, Availability
Priced at $399.99 U.S. list price the Xerox DocuMate 3115 comes complete with an ADF equipped docking station and is available immediately through retail and online channel partners and major resellers. The Xerox DocuMate 3115 will also be available soon as an undocked scanner for $349.99, and the docking station can be purchased separately for only $99.99. Configured as a dual platform product, the Xerox DocuMate 3115 bundled software and drivers support Windows 7, Vista, and XP, as well as Mac OS X 10.4 and above including Snow Leopard.
