Warner Bros. Television Group To Connect With Fans Around Its Booth At Comic-Con 2010 Via Innovative Bluetooth™ And Wi-Fi Technology

26 July 2010 1 No Comment

Burbank, CA -– Warner Bros. Television Group (WBTVG) has gone blue for Comic-Con 2010: Bluetooth™, that is. Fans at the world’s largest pop-culture convention who venture within 150 feet of the nearly 3,000 square-foot Warner Bros. booth (#4545) and who have mobile handsets with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth™ connections will have the opportunity to download content relating to six of the Studio’s television series: “The Big Bang Theory,” “Chuck,” “Fringe,” “Human Target,” “The Vampire Diaries” and the upcoming “Nikita.”

Here’s how it works:

• When fans walk within range of the booth with their Bluetooth™ enabled and set to discoverable (feature phones) or their Wi-Fi enabled (smart phones), they will be able to connect with Warner Bros. to learn more about the six series listed above via a Java application

• Fans can download images and trailers related to the series, as well as calendar reminders for panel sessions and signings at Comic-Con, as well as U.S. fall season premiere dates

• Once a fan has downloaded content to their phone, it will remain there until deleted, enabling them to continue to enjoy it and share it with friends

• In addition, fans will have a month after Comic-Con to continue to download content through the mobile Internet via the Java application or by bookmarking the Captive Portal in their browser

The services are being provided by Deluxe Media Management – a division of Deluxe Entertainment Services Group – and BluePod Media.
