Today Asus announced a trio of Android tablets powered by Honeycomb, which the company referred to as Android 3.0 (not 2.4). All of the devices feature a large touch-screen, but that’s where the similarities end as Asus showed off some pretty wild designs.

Eee Pad MeMO

First we saw the MeMO which is a 7.1-inch tablet running a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It looked like your standard Android tablet, but this model came with a stylus for use with their paint and note taking apps.

The press kit we received did not include the detailed specs, but we were told the MeMO features dual-cameras, 1080p video playback, and a micro HDMI port.

The device will be available in June with prices ranging from $499 to $699.

Eee Pad Transformer

Next we saw the Transformer which is a slim lightweight tablet with a detachable keyboard. The Transformer features a 10.1 inch IPS display (1280×800), NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera, and full size keyboard.

Asus boasted that the Transformer had a battery life up to 16 hours and was perfect for mobile use.

The demo unit appeared to be running Android 2.3, but Asus said it will ship with Honeycomb and run their custom MyWave UI.

Look for the Transformer to be available in April with prices ranging from $399 to $699.

Eee Pad Slider

Finally we saw the Eee Pad Slider, which looks like a normal tablet but features a slide out keyboard. The Slider features the same internal hardware as the Transformer (10.1 IPS display, Tegra 2, dual-cameras) and also runs the MyWave UI.

Asus said the Slider should be available in May with prices ranging from $699 to $799.

Hands-on?

Unfortunately Asus did not allow any hands on time with the devices, but we should be able to play with them in the next couple of days. Check back later this week for our impressions of the Eee Pad family.
