Media outlets shall inform, not destroy peace

?Media outlets should inform in a positive and critic way, instead of destroying peace and harmony in this country,? stated on Friday the governor of Anzoategui state, Tarek William Saab.

During a contact with the state-run television, the regional governor highlighted Venezuela’s need of leaving in peace, without a media war.

?The human right to inform should also have the right to respect the others,? Saab stressed.

The private media outlets have trivialized the plans to kill Venezuela’s president Hugo Chavez Frias. ?It is like deep down they boos these kind of actions,? he said.

?We are against the media war, against using the media outlets to destroy people’s honor,? he added.

He reaffirmed that in this moment it is in doubt the use of the radioelectrical spectrum to attempt against people’s mental health.

Moreover, he said that the 2.36 million dollars fine filed by the National Customs and Tax Administration Service SENIAT to the private company Globovision because of the donations of advertising spots to the political organizations that took part on the so-called strike in 2002 is an act of justice for the people.
