SAN DIEGO and FRESNO, Calif. – Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), a leading provider of business-to-business wireless enterprise applications and services, and Pana-Pacific, an established preferred supplier and engineering partner to the commercial vehicle market, today announced the implementation of their distribution agreement that allows Pana-Pacific to market and resell Qualcomm’s Service Fleet Manager mobile resource management solution to the commercial vehicle (CV) market.

“Our alliance couldn’t have come at a better time because, now more than ever before, customers are learning the financial benefits that telematics products can provide,” stated John Trenberth, president of Pana-Pacific. “When looking at the telematics options that are available, none are as easy to install, easy to use or provide as convenient of a ‘dashboard’ view of all the detailed data collected from fleet vehicles as Qualcomm’s Service Fleet Manager. Qualcomm’s proven reputation for quality products and service is well known in our industry, thus making our partnership a significant match. For over 35 years, our commercial customers have come to rely on us to provide quality components that are recognized as the best in the industry while still being affordable; Service Fleet Manager fits the bill, so we’re excited to join forces and hit the ground running.”

Qualcomm’s Service Fleet Manager is an in-vehicle mobile resource management solution that uses GPS technology to give fleets visibility into their assets and provide an immediate snapshot of critical vehicle information through a Web-based interface. It can help cut fuel consumption, reduce overtime hours, boost revenue and improve customer satisfaction with more efficient scheduling and routing.

“Pana-Pacific, with its notable reputation as a customer-focused industry leader, is a natural fit for Qualcomm,” said Norm Ellis, vice president of sales, services and marketing for Qualcomm Enterprise Services. “We look forward to the opportunity to provide their customers with a solution to more efficiently manage the costs and productivity of their fleet operations.”
