Nigella Lawson Runner up in Spicy Lingerie Contest

Big Brother host, Davina McCall has been named as the TV presenter who would make the best lingerie model. The poll, which also saw kitchen goddess, Nigella Lawson come second, was revealed at the launch of the public search for the new Face of Wickedelic Lingerie.

Whilst fitness fan, McCall came in at number one, the majority of the top ten was made up of more curvy role models, with Lawson and property guru, Kirsty Allsop achieving second and third place respectively. Meanwhile, recently departed This Morning host, Fern Britton may have a new vocation, as she was voted in the top five, and Carol Vorderman added brains as well as beauty, at number seven.

The poll was voted for by Wickedelic Lingerie customers, at the launch of the brand’s search for the UK’s next lingerie supermodel, where twelve real girls will be given glamorous makeovers, and become pin-up stars, in a charity calendar for Help For Heroes. They will then face a public vote, with one going on to become the Face of Wickedelic Lingerie.

Spokesperson, Nik Grant said, “When you look at the survey’s results, you’ll see that most of the top ten are as popular for the way they relate to the public, as their appearance. This has inspired us to find the new Face of Wickedelic Lingerie in the biggest, and most fair lingerie model search of 2009, where every girl that enters will have an equal chance of winning this once-in-a-lifetime prize.”

Nik continued, “We’re looking for twelve girls from around the UK who can emulate these TV presenters’ warmth, confidence and likability, whilst the lingerie makes them look a million dollars. Aside from being over 18 years old, there are no age or size restrictions, and we’re looking forward to seeing the very best of British beauty, in all its forms.”
