Fundraisers needed for Manchester Abseil

9 June 2009 54 No Comment
Last year 60 generous people raised a fantastic ?7,500 by abseiling down the Manchester Town Hall extension. They all had a great day out and their donation made a big difference to disability sport.

Disability Sport Events (DSE) organise regional, national and international championships in a variety of sports. The events provide pathways to international success such as the Paralympics. Our work begins with clubs, schools and individuals at grass roots level to develop, support and encourage disabled people to participate in sport.

This year we are aiming to raise more and hope that our supporters can reach ?10,000. Joining us already we have fire fighters, superheroes, musicians, T.V stars and people from local Manchester businesses showing their support. Why not join in and show your support for a great cause.

The abseil is taking place on Saturday 15th August 2009 and entry fee costs just ?22. We only ask you to raise a minimum of ?100 for DSE and will provide you with all the fundraising tips you need to make this a memorable experience.

Help us spread the word by forwarding this link to all of your Manchester contacts! If you would be able to display event posters in your workplace, please e-mail us your postal address or advertise it on your intranet.

To request an application form please email me on lucy@dse.org.uk with your name and address. Call Lucy on 0161 953 2430 for more information.

The Sky’s the limit in DSE fundraising!
