TORONTO (AP) — SunEdison said Tuesday that it will build industrial and retail rooftop solar photovoltaic projects for LaSalle Investment Management, a global real estate investment manager based in Ontario.
Under the agreement, SunEdison will own and operate the solar energy systems with capacity totaling 2.1 megawatts. They will be hosted at LaSalle facilities.
The Ontario Power Authority will buy the energy that is produced. LaSalle will lease the space for the projects.
The eight systems will be started this summer with most of the installations completed by the end of the year. Most of the projects will be located in the Toronto area.
