HUNTSVILLE, Ala.– Intergraph®, the global leader in engineering and geospatial software, is featuring its applications to more efficiently power and protect the cities of today and tomorrow within the Cisco Pavilion at Expo 2010 Shanghai China.

Expo visitors to the Cisco Pavilion will see how Intergraph software and Cisco networking and communications solutions can monitor, detect and assess threats, coordinate emergency response and manage data for improved decision making to protect and secure lives and property in Smart+Connected Communities.

More than 70 million people are expected to attend Expo 2010. The demonstrations will directly support the Cisco Pavilion’s theme of Smart+Connected Life, which provides the blueprint to achieve “Better City, Better Life,” the theme of Expo 2010.

Expo visitors at the Cisco Pavilion will see firsthand how Intergraph software helps enable utilities to geospatially manage, operate and secure network infrastructure and data, including smart grids. Pavilion visitors and guests will see how utilities are transitioning to a fully digital environment for monitoring and mapping infrastructure as well as dispatching field crews and better responding to power outages for faster restoration. Other Intergraph solutions permit utilities to consolidate and manage vast amounts of infrastructure and operations data into a single smart grid command-and-control interface to facilitate informed decision making.
