IBM to Build a Globally Integrated Delivery Model for BG Group

ARMONK, N.Y. : IBM (NYSE: IBM) and BG Group (LSE: BG.L) today announced a five-year global deal for information technology (IT) services. IBM will build a globally consistent delivery model for BG Group’s operations in more than 25 countries.

Under the agreement, IBM will provide BG Group with server and storage support, end user services including deskside and global service desk support, as well as network management services. Additionally, IBM will enhance BG Group’s information security position with managed securities services, including vulnerability management, firewall management and network intrusion detection.

IBM has the industry-leading experience, technology and services to enable BG Group to optimize its global operations which will increase visibility, mitigate risk and lower costs across their entire business.

The contract was signed in March 2010.
