Plano, Texas — Centegra Health System (Centegra) and Dell Services have been awarded the Outsourcing Center’s 2010 Outsourcing Excellence Award for “Best Transition” in recognition of the strong working relationship Centegra and Dell Services (formerly Perot Systems) have shared since 2008. The Outsourcing Center awards honor the most outstanding outsourcing relationships worldwide.

Specifically, Centegra and Dell Services were given the award for developing a strong partnership over the first year of their relationship despite the challenges inherent in transition projects and the complexity added due to the economic downturn. Dell Services accelerated transition efforts in order to minimize cost and disruption to the Centegra organization and devoted substantial resources to review the Centegra IT strategic plan to triage capital expenditures. On its first day at Centegra, the company worked quickly to mitigate potential damage that could have otherwise been caused when a critical server failed. Dell Services worked around the clock to resolve the issue, and this commitment helped build the trust that now exists between the two companies.

Centegra and Dell Services were selected by a panel of industry experts after a rigorous review of all components of relationship structure as well as outcomes achieved. The Best Transition award is given to the buyer and service provider who worked most collaboratively to eliminate anticipated transition challenges and to ensure timelines and budgets were met. Recipients must also work collaboratively throughout the transition phase to address any unanticipated challenges.

The 2010 Outsourcing Excellence Award for Dell Services and Centegra represents the first Outsourcing Excellence Award for Dell Services, which was created through the acquisition of Perot Systems by Dell. Perot Systems has previously won several Outsourcing Excellence Awards, including:
