Michael Jackson’s star-studded memorial service is under way at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Only 8,750 people have tickets to the service and while police were expecting crowds of 250,000 fans eager to pay their respects to the ‘King of Pop’, reports suggest these figures did not materialise.
It is estimated that an astounding 750 million people will be watching the service live around the world, the biggest audience for any event ever.
Some of the biggest names in music will take part in the service such as Lionel Richie, Mariah Carey, Beyonce and Stevie Wonder. Michael Jackson’s dancers are also expected to perform.

When I was in kindergarten, I would beg my mother every morning to play “Thriller”. I wouldn’t always have time to listen to the whole album, but my mother would have it ready for me when I got home every day. From that day on Michael Jackson was always with me and my entire family. My heart and prayers goes out to the entire Jackson family. Michael Jackson will live on forever!
Michael was an angel on earth. There will never be another human being who will ever compare to him. He is truly magical! God Bless his Family and may he rest in peace knowing that the entire world LOVES HIM. He is the KING!!

I think that no one in the history of music has ever had a memorial service as touching and memorable as Michael did. Everyone from the performances to the speaches did i wonderful job. R.I.P Michael and you will be missed. MICHAELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!

i have heard micheal was not there at the memorial.that the coffin was empty.so what.i am glad they never had an open coffin like elvis.this was a family affair,done with dignity.god bless micheal.the world will be a diffrent and sadder place without you. RIP.
