Jackson Fans Wait for O2 Arena Statement on Refunds

26 June 2009 57 No Comment

London’s O2 Arena have told fans they can expect news soon regarding the ticketing situation following the death of Michael Jackson yesterday (June 25).

The singer was due to perform 50 dates at the venue, kicking off on July 13 and going on well into 2010.

So far organisers have yet to issue ticketholders with instructions on what to do next, but said: “At this moment our thoughts are with Michael’s children, family and friends. We will announce ticketing information in due course.”

Under British law, fans who brought their tickets directly from the promoters should be due a full refund. Those who used ticket agencies and other secondary sellers will have to contact their point of purchase once the O2 Arena makes its announcement.
