Michael Mendenhall will be discussing the concept of social innovation, HP’s commitment to the communities it serves, and the company’s collaboration with SCYFC.

Delane Kinney will be discussing the educational and counseling services the SCYFC provides to at-risk and troubled families and children in the community and the support that the donations from Championship provide for the Centers.

“We’re grateful to HP and the PGA TOUR for their generous support over the years through the HP Byron Nelson Championship,” said Kinney. “The contributions, both financial and physical, help the SCYFC continue our mission of helping transform children’s futures and create new possibilities for success.”

HP Gives Back is an annual community service event for the HP Byron Nelson Championship’s charitable beneficiary, the SCYFC. The event provides a hands-on opportunity for HP employees and customers to make a tangible contribution to the local community.

“HP is committed to investing in communities through local partnerships,” said Mendenhall. “Our work with the Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers in Dallas is a great example of employee engagement and of providing tools to educate our next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs.”

More than 100 volunteers, along with the SCYFC’s leadership, and Dallas Mavericks television announcers Bob Ortegel and Mark Followill will participate in activities to enhance the environment of the Family Works Center. Volunteers will help renovate picnic tables, repaint the Center’s cafeteria, landscape garden areas and design artwork to be assembled as a mural surrounding the outdoor recreation area. Media will be able to video the volunteers before and after the media event.
